About This Role:

We’re looking for a data-savvy individual to join our marketing research data science team. Using survey-based and behavioral, and third party data, you will perform data analytics, support syndicated and custom market research projects and support data-driven compelling research. You’ll collaborate with Forrester’s subject matter experts to conduct statistical analyses and develop new, proprietary analytic frameworks. We’re looking for a candidate who has basic experience translating data into actionable insights and linking it to the client’s business initiatives. The candidate should have some background in analyzing consumer or business behaviors using advanced analytics, combined with writing and presentation skills. The candidate must marshal data, analysis, ideas, and recommendations into compelling deliverables that help clients be more successful.


We’re looking for a junior-level candidate who understands market research methodologies and analytics but can also translate data into actionable insights. We’re looking for a candidate with excellent data skills who can use advanced statistical methodologies to uncover insights and opportunities for our clients. Job duties include:

  • Support and lead statistical analysis, develop descriptive and predictive models for consumer behavior, utilize statistical techniques such as cluster analysis, regression modeling and correspondence analysis, factor analysis and perform data mining.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to conduct analyses for use in our published research.
  • Create proprietary data frameworks that help clients make data-driven business decisions.
  • Ensure best practices in data communication and representation through formal trainings and strategic partnership with other teams in the Forrester ecosystem.
  • Assist in design, data processing, cleaning, and analysis for custom surveys.
  • Explore new and third party sources of data and develop analytic methodologies to enhance Forrester’s data offering.
  • Produce deliverables such as PowerPoint presentations and Forrester reports.
  • Provide sales support to help translate client needs to project and analytical ideas.


  • B.A. or B.S. minimum. Areas of study in a quantitative field such as: Statistics or Mathematics, Economics, Marketing Analytics, Computer Science, Psychology, or Business.
  • One to three years of analytics experience, preferably in market research. Candidates typically come from market research, customer intelligence, or analytic departments.
  • Some experience using statistical packages such as R, Python, SPSS, or SAS.
  • Experience with advanced statistical analysis including but not limited to regression modeling, conjoint analysis, factor analysis and cluster analysis. Enthusiasm to expand your analytical skillset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences.
  • The ability to work independently without day-to-day supervision and as part of a global research team.
