About This Role

Forrester Research is seeking a CMO Executive Partner for its Executive Programs for CMOs and CIOs.

Executive Programs is a new service offering to meet the exclusive needs of this important target audience. Members of the Executive Program group are the most senior marketing and technology leaders at $1B+ organizations; they have overall responsibility to lead the shift to customer obsession, define a customer experience aligned to the brand promise, provide customer insights to inform the business strategy, and recognize technology's impact on customers and the business.

 

The CMO Executive Partner will be responsible for growing this product and developing and maintaining strong relationships with CMO Executive Program clients. She/he will serve as a strategic business advisor to CMO Executive Program clients by advising them, pushing their thinking, coaching them, and providing them with actionable feedback on their activities and deliverables. This position reports to the VP of product strategy and operations.

 

The CMO Executive Partner is responsible for the client growth, client satisfaction, and retention and ongoing engagement with her/his CMO clients. She/he must possess the relevant executive-level marketing experience and strategic thought leadership to challenge CMO clients’ thinking.

 

Responsibilities

  • Exceed aggressive business metrics for the product, including:

          Product bookings.
          Client satisfaction and retention.
          Overall account enrichment.

  • Serve as a strategic business advisor to CMO Executive Program clients by advising them, pushing their thinking, coaching them, and providing them with actionable feedback on their activities and deliverables.
  • Actively engage members to understand their success criteria and further their success with their key initiatives.
  • Engage with members’ direct reports through in-person and phone conversations.
  • Build and maintain member engagement journeys that help convey the value delivered throughout the client relationship and strengthen the case for renewal.
  • Build strong connections with other Forrester functions, including research, Leadership Boards, consulting, and data to be able to represent all of Forrester and bring Forrester resources to bear with her/his CMO clients.
  • Provide proactive sales support to Forrester’s sales organization and directly to prospects.Add and nurture existing leads.
  • Support sales teams in prospecting and selling activities, including participation in proof-of-capability calls with prospective members.
  • Be a thought leader in the CMO space by representing Forrester and speaking at external events.

Qualifications

 

  • 15+ years of proven experience in marketing leadership and experience in the role of CMO or direct support of a CMO.
  • Be intimately familiar with CMO best practices and the challenges facing these professionals across multiple industries, including B2B and B2C.
  • A professional attitude and the ability to create positive impressions with C-suite executives through all channels of communication.
  • Experience with client service with executives at large, multinational organizations.
  • Strong collaboration, partnering, and influencing skills — getting the most and best out of the collaborative relationships; keeping people informed; as well as influencing and partnering to ensure success.
  • Embody Forrester’s values of client, collaboration, courage, integrity, and quality.
  • Superior presentation skills.
