About This Role

 

The Events Marketing Associate primarily leads the marketing efforts for Forrester’s Forums in EMEA and Asia Pacific through traditional and interactive media. As a part of the global events marketing team, the role will also include some work on US events and will report to the director of events marketing. Projects will include email campaigns, print collateral, web content, and work with advertisers and media partners.

 

This role is the only events marketing representative in EMEA; therefore, candidates must be able to work independently while effectively communicating with the global team on all marketing efforts.

 

Forrester Forums are one- to two-day conferences that bring clients and prospects face to face with Forrester analysts and industry-leading experts for an immersive learning and networking experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design and distribute HTML email campaigns and analyze and track campaign effectiveness.
  • Segment audiences to make sure we target the correct people for each event.
  • Craft sales and sponsorship collateral, including registration forms, prospectuses, and email scripts.
  • Work with PR, the social media team, and online event calendar organizations to enhance the profile of the events.
  • Update the EMEA marketing budget and allocate it where necessary.
  • Own and update event content on Forrester’s website.
  • Maintain and strategize the internal events marketing calendar.
  • Monitor and maintain Forrester’s events presence on social networking and trade association websites.
  • Manage new and existing paid advertising and source partnerships with appropriate media companies.
  • Ensure the EMEA and Asia Pacific teams are informed of all upcoming marketing activities.
  • Speak at business update meetings and provide information around event activity.
  • Work with the EMEA and Asia Pacific field marketing teams and encourage them to cross-sell the events.
  • Attend events when support is needed onsite.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in international marketing.
  • Strong business and marketing writing skills in English.
  • Email design experience, with the ability to hand-code HTML.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Salesforce and Eloqua programs is preferred.
  • A B.S./B.A. in a related field.
  • The ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • The ability to reliably meet deadlines.
  • The desire to innovate and improve marketing strategy.
