About This Role:

The Researcher will be part of Forrester’s global Digital Business Strategy research team, which conducts research to serve professionals who are responsible for the strategy, development and operations of their firms’ digital sales and service touchpoints, including online and mobile sales and service.

This Researcher will: research, write, and further develop our digital transformation, experience and mobile strategy research; conduct research on the key digital business strategy initiatives; conduct primary and secondary research to assist analysts with their research for our digital business strategy clients; assists with client advisory and consulting deliverables; and supports our team’s events.

The Researcher is self-motivated; project-manages multiple deliverables at any given time; performs quality survey data analysis; produces clear and accurate presentations; creates clear and concise written analyses; and prioritizes the needs of the team. Candidates will need a strong interest in and understanding of the business and technology issues facing digital business strategy executives today and an appetite for conducting and writing research to stay abreast of the issues they face.


  • Design and conduct primary research, including planning and conducting interviews and surveys of digital business strategy executives via telephone and online surveys.
  • Conduct secondary research using industry sources, including systematic assessments of companies’ channel strategies and third-party data analysis.
  • Write high-quality research (in English) that conveys new ideas to help digital business strategy professionals understand customer and digital technology trends, challenge their own thinking, take better decisions, solve their business problems, develop their strategies and lead change in their organizations.
  • Help analysts in conducting research, analyzing findings, and structuring and producing reports and presentations.
  • Take part in vendor briefings, client inquiries, webinars, and industry events to help the team stay on top of industry trends and best practices. As needed, help the research team work with Forrester’s sales, marketing, and editorial teams.

  • A strong track record of academic achievement – a B.A./B.S. degree at a minimum.
  • Two to three years of work experience in a marketing, digital business strategy, market research, or consulting role.
  • An excellent command of English in speech and writing.
  • A track record of writing clear and concise reports and analysis.
  • A thorough understanding of digital business services trends, processes, technologies, and tactics.
  • Experience in successfully working independently with a team under tight deadlines, handling multiple tasks.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Facility in working with primary and secondary data; experience in organizing and analyzing raw survey data.
