About This Role:

Forrester product managers lead Forrester’s efforts to develop and deliver valuable and innovation product offerings to our clients in order to drive Forrester’s growth. They work as a part of Forrester’s small, high-performance team of product leaders and product managers. The Product Manager – License & Compliance will work as a part of Forrester’s product organization to lead our license compliance office and help us learn how to improve our products based on client usage. She/he will collaborate with other functions and groups across Forrester in numerous aspects of their job.


The Product Manager – License & Compliance will work closely with our sales and customer success organizations to identify and resolve license usage and compliance issues, with a primary focus on our Research products. She/he will proactively identify concerns and work with account teams to identify corrective actions. This will often require direct communication with license holders to discuss their usage as well as coaching account teams on the next best steps. She/he will also manage our compliance office support, ensuring we have an effective compliance office process and history of positive outcomes with clients.


The Product Manager – License & Compliance will engage with clients and prospects as well as conduct market research to help us better understand various usage scenarios that fall within and outside our current license terms and terms of use. She/he will help us identify changes to our terms of use and product features to help us address current and future unmet client needs. She/he will also manage the ongoing development and support of current and future product features aimed at resolving client issues and opportunities.



  • Manage Forrester’s compliance office, ensuring compliance reporting and processes are followed to best support product license terms and terms of use.
  • Develop and maintain collateral and materials helping Forrester’s sales and customer success teams understand and enforce license terms and terms of use.
  • Proactively work with account teams – sales and customer success professionals – on identified client compliance issues by informing teams of issues and coaching them to effective outcomes.
  • Engage directly with clients when needed to discuss any license usage concerns and potential remedies.
  • Regularly report on compliance office activities and make recommendations to product leaders on ways to improve product usage and reduce compliance issues.
  • Conduct, gather, and share client and market input and feedback related to current and future product usage scenarios with different types of clients, addressing different client behaviors.
  • Manage a road map to improve current product features and introduce new ones, addressing identified and prioritized product usage scenarios.
  • Work across Forrester’s ecosystem to ensure the timely delivery of new and improved product features.
  • Act as a customer-led commercial leader who helps Forrester drive growth.


  • A strong record of academic achievement: B.A. or B.Sc. minimum.
  • Prior product management and/or product marketing experience with software or other intangible IP products.
  • Experience engaging with internal and external stakeholders on complex and difficult discussions and challenges; a demonstrated ability to coach internal stakeholders on next best actions.
  • Effective project management and process enforcement skills.
  • Excellent listening, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in one or more other major language would be a significant advantage.
  • The ability and willingness to travel for up to 25% of the time.
