About the Role

Forrester is looking for a proven digital marketing and audience development maven to join the exciting growth around Forrester’s global events business. In this role, reporting to the SVP of Global Events, you will set the strategy, own the budget, and manage a team that will drive awareness, engagement, and paid attendee growth at events focusing on some of the most mission-critical business and tech issues facing enterprises and midsize companies today. This leader will develop and lead a digital, social, direct, and partner marketing strategy that will directly scale new Forrester event audiences; execute powerful global and regional B2B marketing campaigns; and coach, mentor, and manage a team of campaign marketers and marketing designers to achieve sustained success.

  • Develop and lead the execution of Forrester’s global events marketing plan.
  • Manage the global budget, audience targeting, messaging, channels, and touch strategies.
  • Lead a global team of marketers and graphic designers to sustained success.
  • Drive awareness, lead generation, and direct growth in event audience acquisition.
  • Develop and support sponsorship acquisition campaigns.
  • Work closely with the sales team to ensure that demand generation efforts align with sales objectives and business goals.
  • Lead all digital marketing, including Forrester’s event websites.
  • Work cross-functionally to gain efficiencies and ensure that all marketing aligns with Forrester’s overall marketing strategy and new GDPR regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the content team on new and creative campaign ideas that highlight the distinctive value and experience of Forrester events.
  • Manage and optimize all inbound lead funnels.
  • Establish the processes around qualifying, accepting, and nurturing leads as well as creating a pipeline for opportunities.
  • Influence the event attendee experience, including signage, attendee communications, nurturing campaigns, mobile app, web experience, social channels, and additional onsite assets.
  • Manage asset creation for event marketing efforts and sales tools.
  • Develop processes to measure and improve the attendee experience.
  • Recommend technologies that enhance and help Forrester track the impact of its events on the attendee experience.




  • A minimum of five to seven years of direct and digital marketing experience, preferably with a proven track record in audience/community building, field or trade show marketing, and inbound and acquisition marketing.
  • A minimum of two to three years of team management experience.
  • Web design management experience.
  • Experience of technology-based marketing automation and CRM platforms, such as Eloqua, Salesforce, and Marketo.
  • A passion for working cross-functionally to find solutions.
  • Experience building out lead qualification, management, and nurturing processes.
  • Experience implementing KPIs and campaign tracking for key performance and acquisition metrics.
  • Experience of website and HTML design for driving inbound marketing.
  • Experience of social, influencer, and partner marketing strategies.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing new technology solutions that drive growth and efficiency
