About This Role

Forrester Research is seeking a CIO Executive Partner for its Executive Programs for CIOs.

Executive Programs is a service offering to meet the exclusive needs of this important target audience.  Members of the Executive Program group are the most senior Marketing and Technology leaders at $1B+ organizations with overall responsibility to lead the shift to customer obsession, define a customer experience aligned to the brand promise, provide customer insights to inform the business strategy, and recognize technology's impact on customers and the business.


The CIO Executive Partner will be responsible for further growing this product and developing and maintaining strong relationships with CIO Executive Program clients. He/she will serve as a strategic business advisor to CIO Executive Program clients by advising them, pushing their thinking, coaching them and providing them with actionable feedback on their activities and deliverables. This position reports to the VP of Product Strategy and Operations.


With this product seeing accelerated growth in 2017, the VP Executive Partner is responsible for continuing this momentum, working closely with sales and marketing to drive further growth of the product.


The CIO Executive Partner is responsible for the client growth, client satisfaction, and retention and ongoing engagement with his/her Technology Executive clients. He/she must possess the relevant executive-level technology experience and strategic thought-leadership to challenge CIO clients’ thinking. Specifically, the CIO Executive Partner will:


  • Exceed aggressive business metrics for the product, including:

             Product bookings
             Client satisfaction and retention
             Overall account enrichment

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to CIO Executive Program clients by advising them, pushing their thinking, coaching them and providing them with actionable feedback on their activities and deliverables.
  • Actively engage CIO Executive Program clients to understand their success criteria and further their success with their key initiatives.
  • Engage with executive clients’ direct reports through in-person and phone conversations.
  • Build and maintain client success plans that help convey value delivered throughout the client relationship and strengthen the case for renewal
  • Build strong connections with other Forrester functions including Research, Leadership Boards, Consulting, and Data to be able to represent all of Forrester and bring Forrester resources to bear with his/her CIO clients.
  • Provide proactive sales support to Forrester’s sales organization and directly to prospects. Add and nurture existing leads.
  • Support sales teams in prospecting and selling activities, including participation in proof-of-capability calls with prospective members.
  • Be a thought leader in the CIO space by representing Forrester and speaking at external events.

  • 15+ years of proven experience in Technology Leadership and experience in the role of CIO or technology executive.

  • Experience with client service with executives at large, multi-national organizations.
  • Strong collaboration, partnering, and influencing skills — getting the most and best out of the collaborative relationships; keeping people informed, influencing and partnering to ensure success.
  • A passion for Technology and where it supports the business to better win, serve, and retain customers.
  • The embodiment of Forrester’s values of client, collaboration, courage, integrity, and quality.
  • Superior presentation skills.
