About the Role:                                                                                                                                                         

Reporting to the accounting supervisor, the Accounting Associate will be an integral part of the finance team. He/she must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and service-focused. This position provides an excellent opportunity to quickly gain broad-based experience in a growth company and provides advancement opportunities.


Job Description:

  • Reconcile several of the balance sheet accounts for month-end and quarter-end closes, including, but not limited to, deferred rent, prepaid expense, and accrued expenses.
  • Record daily cash activity for multiple Forrester entities.
  • Reconcile accrued payroll accounts related to ESPP, 401(k), and FSA timely and accurately.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of standard journal entries.
  • Process employee expenses and vendor payments.
  • Be the lead contact for the monthly close of Forrester’s foreign entities in Canada and Israel.
  • Perform P&L and MD&A fluxes and analysis.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis as needed.
  • Provide items to assist with the requirements of auditors.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.


Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s or associate’s degree in accounting. Prior related experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and the initiative to resolve problems are critical to the success of this position.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with PeopleSoft is a plus.
  • Organizational skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently are crucial to success in this position.
