About This Role:


The Research Associate works directly with a global team of analysts who create primary research to serve the specific needs of Digital Business Strategy Professionals across the world. Digital Business Strategy Professionals are responsible for the strategy and operations of their firms’ digital sales and service touchpoints. This Research Associate will work with a team of analysts who primarily serve digital business strategy professionals at retail financial services firms such as banks, wealth management firms, and insurance companies.


Research Associates work as part of a small, high-performance global team of other analysts and researchers. The Research Associate will collaborate with others in all aspects of the job.



  • Conduct primary research for published reports, including developing and executing interviews of digital business strategy executives via telephone and online surveys.
  • Conduct secondary research for published reports using industry sources, including competitive assessment and third-party data analysis.
  • Assist analysts with co-ordinating and conducting research interviews.
  • Manage and create graphics for reports and presentations to convey both conceptual analysis and quantitative findings.
  • Maintain research production schedule, from inception through publication.
  • Learn and be responsible for some quantitative work with Forrester’s data sets.


Sales/Marketing Support:

  • Help Forrester’s sales force understand published research and suggest relevant research for existing and potential clients.
  • Prepare information for the marketing department on upcoming research topics.

  • A./B.S. with a strong academic record; all undergraduate majors are welcome to apply; any quantitative interest or statistics interest is a major plus.
  • One to two years of varied undergraduate or postgraduate work experience.

  • Excellent listening, critical thinking, and writing skills.
  • Numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Intellectual curiosity about consumer behavior, business and technology, and particularly the impact of technology on retail financial services.
  • A working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
