About This Role:

A global research and advisory firm, Forrester serves professionals in 13 key roles across three distinct client segments. Our clients face progressively complex business and technology decisions every day. To help them understand, strategize, and act upon opportunities brought by change, Forrester provides proprietary research, consumer and business data, custom consulting, events and online communities, and peer-to-peer executive programs. We guide leaders in the business technology, marketing and strategy, and tech industry through independent fact-based insight, ensuring their business success today and tomorrow.

The Researcher is a critical member of Forrester’s global emerging technology research practice. This team will lead the development, management, and commercialization of a research and product portfolio that helps Forrester clients assess emerging technologies, new ventures, and innovation services.

The Researcher will report to the vice president of emerging technology research and will play a key role in research projects to help Forrester analysts produce high-quality reports, speeches, presentations, and other client deliverables in the expanding field of emerging technology.

The Researcher is self-motivated and manages his or her own schedule, performs high-quality analysis, produces powerful presentations, and creates coherent written arguments. Qualified candidates display a strong interest in emerging technology, business innovation, and the dynamics of market disruption. A proven track record in a technology-research-related role is extremely valuable.

  • Develop conceptual graphics to represent research findings.
  • Work with Forrester’s third-party partners to conduct research in emerging markets.

  • A strong track record of academic achievement: A B.A./B.S. degree is a minimum; a concentration in statistics, economics, or business is helpful; and at least two to three years of work experience in a marketing, market research, analytics, or related consulting role is preferred.
  • A track record of report writing and excellent command of the English language.
  • The ability to work with a team under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • The ability to work independently without needing day-to-day supervision and as part of a global research team.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and comfort with surveys and data (preferred).
