About This Role:

This role is part of the global events team and reports to the director of sales, events. The Events Logistics Associate builds strong relationships with our sponsor clients and executes all sponsorship logistics and marketing initiatives for Forrester’s North American Forums, while supporting sponsorship sales efforts to drive revenue. The candidate for the Events Logistics Associate, Sponsorship position must be outgoing, confident, self-motivated, and capable of juggling multiple priorities.


  • Build strong relationships with all sponsoring companies, understand the sponsors’ objectives, and work to ensure the sponsors are happy with their events experience and renew their sponsorship packages.
  • Work with our sponsor clients to ensure they understand all of their sponsorship deliverables and are able to meet the logistical deadlines for each Forum.
  • Host conference calls with sponsors and have regular telephone check-ins to check that sponsors are satisfied.
  • Plan and execute marketing logistics associated with the Solutions Showcase (SS).
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure flawless onsite execution.
  • Update the sponsorship portal to ensure all information is accurate and available to sponsors per the deadlines.
  • Ensure the sponsorship website is up to date by working closely with sponsors to obtain the proper files and company descriptions.
  • Develop and design sponsorship opportunities (in collaboration with management).
  • Maintain sponsorship contract templates year to year.
  • Manage the sponsorship inventory document(s) for all of the North American forums.
  • Keep updated financial data for all sponsorship-related bookings.
  • Engage with sponsors post-forum through a customized survey tool.
  • Collaborate with sponsorship sales to solicit feedback for continued improvement on guidance for sponsors.
  • Partner with sponsorship sales to develop collateral in a timely and effective manner.
  • Travel to events and provide onsite logistics support to sponsors.
  • Review processes for improvements and explore new initiatives as needed.
  • During non-peak logistics time periods, you will support the sponsorship sales team efforts through the following responsibilities:
  • Support sponsorship representatives who sell to/maintain relationships with technology marketing professionals, analyst relations, technology strategists, CMOs, CTOs, CIOs, B2B market research professionals, etc. 
  • Understand the goals, objectives, and/or products of a targeted set of companies and the specific management titles and organizational structure of those companies.
  • Perform name and organizational development at named accounts.
  • Engage clients/prospects via the phone to outline the unique value proposition of Forrester and to create sufficient interest to secure an introductory meeting with a Forrester account executive.Develop an understanding of clients’ business issues and how to articulate the value proposition of Forrester.
  • Understand the changing business and technology issues facing our client and prospect base.
  • Research prospect sponsorship partners and begin initial outreach to engage prospects.
  • Work closely with marketing to support our sponsorship efforts through email campaigns.


  • A B.A./B.S. degree and a strong academic record with varied undergraduate work experience. 
  • A minimum of two years of experience in professional events planning.
  • A detail-oriented approach and excellent organization and prioritization skills.
  • Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to work independently and as a valued and contributing member of a team.
  • An ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • An ability to travel approximately 10% to 25% of the time.
  • Previous experience with large high-tech events (a plus).
