About this Role:


The Research Associate works directly with a team of analysts who research, write, and publish reports to help make leaders successful in their roles. In this case, Forrester is focused on providing critical insights to support CIOs and other tech leaders as they look to improve their delivery in the Age of the Customer. This support touches many of the hottest areas including strategy, emerging tech (eg, AI, IOT), innovation, operations (eg, automation, devops), and people leadership.


  • Manage research projects: formulate a project plan, establish a check-in process, coordinate vendor contributions, and manage a schedule.
  • Conduct primary research for published reports, including developing and executing an interview set of senior-level technology users via telephone and online surveys.
  • Conduct secondary research for published reports using industry sources, including competitive assessment and third-party data analysis.
  • Assist analysts with coordinating and conducting vendor interviews.
  • Manage press and vendor community contacts.
  • Prepare presentations with well-formatted charts, appropriate callouts, meaningful titles, and a sequence of slides that tell a story.
  • Maintain a report production schedule, from inception through publication.
  • Learn and be responsible for quantitative work with Forrester’s data sets.
  • Coordinate use of social media platforms (blogs, Twitter, online community) in the research and publishing process.
  • Assist team managers with collecting and analyzing team performance metrics through data dashboards.


  • A B.A./B.S., with a strong academic record. All undergraduate majors are welcome to apply, any quantitative or statistics interest is a major plus.
  • One to two years of varied undergraduate or postgraduate work experience.
  • A working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Attention to detail and to building reusable resources like survey questions and formatted data outputs.
  • A passion for learning about technology.
