Researcher, Serving Business to Business Marketing Professionals

Job Locations US-MA-Cambridge

Fuel your intellectual curiosity and professional growth. Forrester is an idea company, where smart, motivated, curious people bring a diversity of opinions and the courage of their convictions to collaborate on ideas that change the course of business. Most of all, bring a point of view; here, every voice has value. At Forrester, you’ll work with innovative clients at emerging and established brands; these are the business and technology leaders we inspire and who inspire us. The Forrester experience is built on a singular, powerful purpose: to challenge thinking and lead change.

About This Role:

B2B marketing leaders are increasingly committing to revenue, and we need the best and brightest to help us research and analyze what technologies, processes, and people will help them meet their commitment. B2B marketing analysts help clients become more successful marketers and enablers of sales with the research they write, the inquiries they conduct, and the consulting projects they deliver. Reporting to VPs, our Researchers help the team and our clients achieve that success by laying the analytical groundwork and often writing the initial analysis for both reports and consulting projects.

The successful Researcher is self-motivated and manages his or her own schedule while collaborating across many groups like data, sales, other research practices, editing, and production. These professionals prioritize the needs of the team, perform quality survey data analysis, lead effective interviews, participate in compelling client discussions, produce powerful presentations, and create coherent written arguments.

  • At least two years of work experience in B2B marketing, market research, sales enablement, and business or technology consulting.
  • A strong understanding of marketing processes, technologies, and tactics, such as demand generation, field marketing, and sales enablement, as well as the relevant marketing vendors, database marketing, or social media marketing.
  • A strong track record of academic achievement; B.A./B.S. degree minimum; a concentration in marketing, English, statistics, or economics is helpful.
  • A strong track record of report writing and excellent command of the English language.
  • The ability to work with a team under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
  • The ability to work independently without day-to-day supervision and as part of a global research team.
  • Someone who is analytical, articulate, organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Superior communication skills.
