About This Role:

Forrester's TEI framework helps clients make decisions about the overall financial value of technology offerings. This position works with sales enablement professionals to provide studies and ROI tools that support sales and marketing efforts; it also works with marketing and strategy (M&S) professionals to build financial and business models for technology to assist in investment justification


  • Using the TEI framework, deliver consulting services to create investment scenarios, financial models, and business case analyses for technology marketing and technology sales enablement professionals and IT professionals.
  • Design survey questionnaires with high-quality data and insights in mind.
  • Conduct executive interviews with client stakeholders and customers.
  • Convert financial data results into a compelling and graphical story.
  • Manage client expectations, project manage engagements, write financial case studies, and present deliverables to clients.
  • Interact with Forrester subject matter experts to bring the highest level of expertise and service to an engagement.
  • Provide presales support via telephone and face-to-face meetings with Forrester prospects, working with Forrester's sales and marketing teams.
  • Present at conferences, briefings, and audioconferences.
  • Master the TEI processes as described above, with an eye toward continuous innovation to ensure Forrester continues to provide world-class service to its clients.


  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles.
  • A strong knowledge of multiple technology areas from a generalist's perspective.
  • An understanding of the practical application of financial theory in investment modeling — ROI, NPV, expected value, risk, payback, etc. — including strong Excel skills.
  • A B.A./B.S. and a strong academic record; an MBA is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quantitative survey research management and data analysis skills.
  • An understanding of quantitative market research approaches, emerging survey research techniques, and technology research.
  • Familiarity in survey data handling processes like quota management, weighting, data quality assurance, vendor management, and data cleaning.
  • Superior communication skills, including presentation, data visualization, and writing skills.
  • Experience with SPSS, Qualtrics, MarketSight, or other data analytics software.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in project management.
  • The ability to collaborate across the organization to meet the needs of the client or research project.
  • A willingness to work with a high degree of intensity and follow-through.
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
  • The ability to travel as needed.
