    About This Role:

    The New Business Sales Executive is responsible for generating opportunities and acquiring new financial services clients in the UK and Ireland, with a potential to expand to the Nordics based on performance. We are looking for a consultative, challenger mindset to be part of the Premier team at Forrester, working with blue-chip and dynamic organizations.

     

    To be successful in the role requires strategic planning of the territory because there are numerous ways to win; testing initiatives; and 110% effort to drive weekly face-to-face client interactions.

Intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset are integral to this role, which will also include travel on an ad hoc basis.

    Responsibilities

    • Own the end-to-end sales process from inception to closure, with subject matter support as needed. 
    • Secure new commercial relationships with prospects from a dedicated territory based on a specific geography or vertical industry. Sell primarily to senior management (director, VP, C-level) at prospect accounts.
    • Maintain the minimum weekly/daily metrics for the role and an appropriate sales pipeline of five to eight times quota.
    • Produce accurate and timely forecasts, showing control of the selling process.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Forrester's solutions and articulate these to clients, showing how these custom deliverables will meet the executive’s or company’s objectives.
    • Understand the dynamic changing business and technology issues and needs that our potential clients face.
    • Work with vertical and horizontal research teams to better understand the Forrester value proposition for prospects.
    • Use analytical skills to understand our clients’ changing business and technology issues and identify opportunities to support these needs on a “trusted adviser” basis.

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor’s degree or higher.
    • Proven experience of at least five years in a similar role, specifically with working in new business development, achieving and surpassing quota goals, and managing personal sales strategies while selling to C-level executives.
    • Effective presentation, organization, and time management skills.
    • The ability and willingness to make cold calls and book meetings.
    • A team player and fast learner who is at ease with technology changing the status quo
    • Someone who is both excited and intrigued by the facts that customers are making the rules and digital is destroying industry lines and business models.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
