    About This Role:


    The Research Associate works directly with a team of analysts who research, write, and publish reports to help make digital business and retail professionals  successful in their roles.



    • Learn about the retail industry and how it is evolving in global markets.
    • Provide timely and value-added research support for designated analysts, and provide backup to other Research Associates on the team.
    • Schedule, coordinate and conduct customer reference and vendor interviews, as needed.
    • Conduct secondary research for published reports using industry sources, including competitive assessment and third-party data analysis.
    • Project manage the research production process for our methodology-based research such as Forrester Wave™ vendor evaluations, NowTechs, NewTechs, and TechTides.

    Data Analysis

    • Assist in creating survey questions and fulfilling surveys to collect data.
    • Analyze data and create graphics.
    • Learn and be responsible for quantitative work with Forrester’s data.
    • Assist in building analytical models, maturity models, self-assessment tools, etc. to support analysts’ research.


    Client Deliverables

    • Provide support for presentation and graphics creation for Forrester events, advisory, consulting, conferences, webinars, etc.


    Additional team support

    • Coordinate use of social media platforms (blogs, Twitter, online community) in the research and publishing process.
    • Manage vendor community contacts.
    • Draft short written pieces to support analysts.
    • Assist Research Director and analysts with collecting and analyzing team performance metrics through data dashboards.


    • A B.A./B.S., with a strong academic record. All undergraduate majors are welcome to apply; any quantitative or statistics interest is a major plus.
    • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills.
    • One to two years of varied undergraduate or postgraduate work experience.
    • A working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and other collaboration tools
    • Strong project management skills.
    • Attention to detail and to building reusable resources like survey questions and formatted data outputs.
    • Demonstrated interest in learning about consumers and technology and how digital is transforming businesses.
