    About This Role:

    As a Researcher on our evaluative research team, you will lead operations associated with delivering Forrester’s evaluative research. In this role, you will greatly influence the quality of these research evaluations and the experience that Forrester clients have with them.


    In Forrester’s evaluative research, we follow a transparent methodology to compare the products and services of market-leading companies. Our clients use these evaluations to benchmark their own capabilities and to inform their strategic planning and purchasing decisions. Our evaluation methodology is a multiweek process that involves defining the scope of the evaluation, understanding the right companies for inclusion, working with the companies to gather information, conducting primary research with customers, scoring, and preparing a final document to share results in our syndicated research.  


    As a Researcher, you will work closely with Forrester analysts to follow the evaluation methodology and create an accurate and fair view of the results. In this process, you will play a critical, value-added role in reviewing and analyzing the companies we evaluate. You will also interact with other Forrester teams — such as publishing, sales, marketing, and production — to create and share a consistent and high-value evaluative research product.


    • Provide timely and value-added project management support for designated research projects.
    • Work with analysts and research directors to define and refine the scope of the evaluations, inclusion criteria, and scoring criteria.
    • Contribute to report plans, premise documents, timelines, and scorecard templates.
    • Lead kickoff calls with analysts, research directors, and evaluative research participants.
    • Schedule and attend briefings with research analysts.
    • Lead the evaluation process, along with analysts. Conduct reviews, scoring, and fact checking.
    • Schedule and coordinate primary research interviews, as necessary.
    • Manage important report deadlines and publishing requirements.
    • Act as the primary point of contact in discussions with the companies we evaluate.
    • Assist in the building of Excel-based evaluation models.
    • Contribute to the evaluation report, including draft graphics, a summary of participant capabilities, and best practices.
    • Manage fact checks (scorecard reviews), graphics, and report production.
    • Work to improve the methodology, operations, and design for executing the evaluation process.


    • Excellent attention to detail and confident/assertive communication.
    • A professional and confident demeanor for both internal and external communication, including the ability to be diplomatic during fact checks and courtesy previews.
    • An ability to multitask across projects and processes.
    • Strong analytical capabilities; the ability to contribute to the evaluation process and summarize key findings.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products, Excel in particular.
    • One to two years of work experience, preferably in a role that required strong project management or organizational skills.
    • B.A./B.S., with a strong academic record.
