    About This Role:


    The Senior Survey Manager, CX Index™ is a critical member of Forrester’s data insights team, reporting to the Director of Data Operations & Insights. This position will support Forrester’s CX Index™ product. In this role, they will work closely with the CX Index™ team and Data Operations to design, manage, and assist analysis from CX Index™ syndicated and custom surveys. This includes designing studies with multiple stakeholders, crafting top-quality questionnaires, overseeing study management (including fielding and dataset cleaning), contributing to the delivery of data insights.


    This individual is experienced and comfortable working with internal and external clients, has high standards for research and data quality, and can manage multiple projects under time-critical business deadlines. The ideal candidate has five or more years of experience designing and managing surveys and cleaning datasets, has excellent communication skills, and has mastery of a variety of quantitative research methods and statistical techniques like regression analysis.


    • Lead discussion and build consensus with internal and external clients to strategically guide CX Index™ survey content development.
    • Design CX Index™ survey questionnaires with high-quality data and insights in mind.
    • Manage the CX Index™ fielding process with vendors (including testing, translations, quotas/weighting schemes, and field monitoring) to implement surveys.
    • Oversee the cleaning and quality assurance of CX Index™ data sets using SPSS and other tools.
    • Prepare dataset to work effectively in Forrester’s proprietary data platform.
    • Work with CX Index™ delivery team to conduct data analysis and prepare client deliverables.


    • Demonstrated quantitative survey research management and data processing skills gained from five or more years of work experience in market research, preferably on the supplier side.
    • Extensive expertise in survey data handling processes like quota management, weighting, data quality assurance, vendor management, and data cleaning.
    • Strong experience with SPSS or R.
    • A sharp attention to detail and high personal standards for quality and thoroughness.
    • The ability to manage large scale, complex surveys with strict quota requirements and tight deadlines.
    • Data analysis experience, including multi-variate statistical techniques like regression.
    • Experience in both syndicated and custom market research project management a plus.
    • Experience in data cleaning automation and preparing data for data warehouse and platform integration a plus.
    • An outgoing personality, as this role requires significant interaction with internal and external clients and the ability to act as an authority in market research and analysis.
    • An ability to work well as part of a global research team and independently, without needing close day-to-day supervision.
    • Experience managing global market research studies.
    • Superior oral and written communication skills.
    • A bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree in social sciences is a plus.
