    About This Role:

    As a member of Forrester’s Event team, you’ll be responsible for the value Forrester delivers to our largest clients. The Event Sales Representative contacts senior-level executives from Fortune 500 companies to explain the value proposition of attending a Forrester event. In this role, you'll sell event forum passes to senior-level executives to attend our North American Forums. You will guide Forrester’s clients to their desired events while driving great attendance and value in their partnership with Forrester. The focus is on driving client attendance, building awareness, and initiating adoption of and engagement with Forrester's Forums.

    Responsibilities

    • Meet and exceed target attendee goals per forum.
    • Master the "lead" follow-up process, and track all activity in Salesforce.com.
    • Collaborate with your peers to ensure the sellout of each Forrester event.
    • Finesse your sales pitch to showcase the value of attending a Forrester event.
    • Master prospecting and relationship-building skills that result in ticket sales.
    • Develop and evolve creative, strategic, brand-building programs using digital and social media channels to promote our events.
    • Engage in day-to-day activity with various technology platforms (eTouches, Salesforce.com).
    • Create, execute, and deliver a strong client engagement strategy within each account.
    • Work within the events’ assigned territory to establish a monthly sales quota.
    • Build a name-development skillset to target the right buyers.
    • Align with the sales representative on the account strategy for events, and maintain regular contact to discuss account, seats, engagement levels, and sponsorship.

    Qualifications

    • One to two years of related sales experience and/or inside sales
    • Experience driving solution-oriented client engagement and exceptional client service
    • Quick learner comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
    • Strong critical thinker capable of solving complex problems in ways that challenge the status quo; very strong communications, research, and writing skills
    • Able to work within diverse teams composed of different skills and functions
    • Understand how to use inbound, content, and outbound marketing to penetrate accounts
    • Demonstrated project management and collaboration skills across functional groups
    • Detail-oriented with a high degree of organization and a proficiency in leveraging internal systems
    • Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and collaborating with other divisions to achieve strong business results
    • Familiar with Salesforce or other CRM systems
    • Confident, self-assured, and able to hold a conversation with senior-level executives via email and phone; social selling savviness
    • Creative and able to think outside the box when finding new leads
    • Competitive, self-driven, self-motivated, and goal oriented
