    About This Role:

    The Billable Expense Associate is responsible for the complete cycle of billable expense processing using PeopleSoft and supporting corporate finance’s daily standard and online billing. The role also involves processing subsequent billing adjustments, processing credit card payments, performing the monthly billable expense reconciliation, and maintaining detailed invoice logs. He/she will work as part of the corporate finance team in maintaining a strong internal and external customer focus on delivering the appropriate information to the proper parties in a timely and effective manner.


    • Own the entire standard billable expense process for Forrester’s North American entities.
    • Ensure that accurate invoices are issued on a timely basis using PeopleSoft, Salesforce, and Siebel.
    • Act as a key point of contact for billable expense inquiries and resolving related issues such as obtaining proper POs by working with clients and internal sales teams.
    • Process online billings though the appropriate invoicing portals (XIGN, Ariba, etc.).
    • Follow up on billable expenses from the aging report via telephone calls and email correspondence.
    • Prepare monthly billable expense reconciliations to the general ledger.
    • Support the daily standard billing function as needed.
    • Work on special projects as assigned.
    • Update manuals to ensure that all monthly procedural steps are documented.


    • Accounting-related processing experience — billing experience preferred.
    • Customer service experience in a rapid-growth technology, software, or manufacturing environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required) and a working knowledge of accounting software applications (a plus).
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills and excellent attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • An ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
    • The ability to work efficiently with other team members.
    • A commitment to excellent customer service.
