    About This Role:


    Forrester seeks a Senior Sales Training Consultant to join our global sales training team and play a key role in accelerating the effectiveness and performance of the sales organization. You must share a passion for enabling sales team members to develop their selling skills and knowledge of Forrester’s products, services, and value proposition.

    In this role, you will partner with sales leadership and sales training team members to design and deliver a comprehensive skills-based sales training curriculum to account managers and Forrester’s inside sales team. You will work closely with the extended sales training and enablement team, subject matter experts, product leaders, and marketing to understand what’s new and maintain current, relevant content and tools for the sales organization. You will help to ensure the success of our extraordinary sales organization and enable our reps to challenge the thinking of our clients to help them lead change in their organizations. This position reports to our vice president of sales training and enablement and is based in our dynamic Nashville, Tenn. location.


    As a Senior Sales Training Consultant at Forrester, you will:

    • Facilitate and enhance new-hire sales training program curriculum and content designed to build a strong foundation, maximize sales effectiveness, and reduce time-to-productivity.
    • Deliver content in large-group, small-group, and one-on-one sessions with a focus on engagement, content retention, and developing sales talent.
    • Conduct monthly check-ins and one-on-one coaching sessions with new hires to assess progress, improve effectiveness, and identify training needs. 
    • Partner with sales managers to conduct needs assessments and drive sales initiatives.
    • Design and facilitate sales strategy and selling skills workshops.
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver product knowledge training sessions enabling effective communication of Forrester product solutions.
    • Partner with sales trainers and instructional designers to develop traditional (job aids, scripts) and dynamic (video-based, microlearning) learning experiences and tools for sales.
    • Measure program effectiveness and recalibrate based on feedback to improve: satisfaction, knowledge transfer, behavior change, and business results (sales productivity).



    • A bachelor’s degree in business, education, or a related field.
    • Three-plus years’ experience as a successful seller in a quota-bearing role.  
    • Two-plus years’ experience in a sales training role with a proven track record of successfully developing and delivering sales training programs.
    • An agile mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle a multitude of tasks, and adapt to change.
    • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills and the ability to engage an audience.
    • The ability to demonstrate the skills you are teaching with confidence and credibility.
    • A proven track record of partnering and collaborating with key leaders and SMEs across the organization to develop and deliver training content.
    • Strong planning, project management, and time management skills with an ability to set and maintain priorities and meet deadlines.
    • High emotional intelligence coupled with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Strong, high-level relationship skills. Able to thrive in a team environment, interact with peers, and understand the executive vision and internal ecosystem.
    • The ability to meet an expected 15% travel requirement.
