    About This Role:

    Reporting to the senior manager of tax, the Tax Manager will be responsible for the preparation of Forrester’s global tax accounting and reporting and also its domestic tax compliance. In addition, the Tax Manager will assist with tax due diligence and structuring for potential acquisitions and with the development of an efficient and effective tax team. This individual will have responsibility for establishing and maintaining all tax-related policies and procedures, managing outside tax advisors, preparation of all financial statement tax accounts, and domestic compliance. This position requires a highly motivated, service-focused individual who can work independently and within Forrester’s various business and functional departments.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the preparation of the global income tax provision and related footnote disclosures on an annual and quarterly basis, including analysis of uncertain tax positions, deferred tax valuation allowances, return to provision adjustments, Section 382 limitations, etc.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of domestic-income-tax work papers, tax returns, estimated tax payments, and non-income-tax compliance.
    • Analyze and monitor international tax compliance, including US Forms 5471, foreign entity compliance, foreign dividends, and subsidiary earnings and profits.
    • Develop and train the tax staff (currently one staff member reports to the tax manager).
    • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and outside tax consultants for the annual and quarterly tax provision calculations as well as any research positions.
    • Assist with global initiatives such as effective tax rate planning and structuring, acquisition due diligence, treasury efficiency projects, and analysis of the impact of proposed legislation.
    • Assist with ad hoc international tax-related assignments.
    • Manage federal, state, and local income tax audits.
    • Manage all intercompany transfer pricing agreements and documentation.
    • Assist the global business units with research regarding domestic sales and payroll tax issues.
    • Maintain proper internal controls related to tax for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
    • Lead/assist on ad hoc projects.

    Qualifications

    • A bachelor's degree in accounting.
    • Two to four years’ supervisory experience.
    • Public accounting experience (a plus, but not required).
    • CPA and/or MST (a plus, but not required).
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
    • Proven analytical skills and solid business experience.
    • Computer skills and modeling.
    • Initiative, confidence, intelligence, and energy.
