About This Role:
The Forecast Researcher is a critical member of Forrester’s ForecastView team. The ForecastView team builds global forecasts that provide reliable insights into digital marketing and retail trends. With ForecastView, companies receive deep, reliable insight into the current size, composition, and future growth opportunities of their markets.

The Forecast Researcher plays a key role for the team, supporting research, client consulting, and internal organization. Qualified candidates must have experience with financial analysis of companies and an interest in topics such as consumer behavior, adoption of various technologies, and their impact on the development of the market. Experience with financial forecasting, survey analysis, or project consulting is extremely helpful. This individual should have a good understanding of market research data as well as data sources such as industry association reports, company financial statements, and consumer survey data. The Forecast Researcher should have the ability to manage projects to time-critical business deadlines. This person should be able to think strategically about market development and the various drivers and inhibitors that impact the general dynamics of a market. The ForecastView team is a global team, with members based in India, Europe, and the US.

• Support ForecastView analysts by doing third-party market research that informs our market forecasts.
• Analyze companies’ financial statements to extrapolate relevant metrics to estimate market size.
• Proactively build and maintain the data assets to enhance the productivity of ForecastView analysts.
• Analyze survey data and support analysts with data requests. Knowledge of SPSS or R is a plus.
• Conduct interviews and evaluations for research and for clients.
• Monitor market events and analyze their impact on Forrester forecasts.
• Support the creation of client deliverables, such as Excel summaries and PowerPoint presentations.
• Codevelop foundational market forecasts, such as the global online population forecast.
• Help team leaders manage day-to-day initiatives, such as client engagements, webinars, and the forecast publishing schedule.

• Three to five years’ work experience, preferably in the market research, consulting, or financial field; experience with financial analysis, project management, and data analysis.
• Sharp attention to detail and high personal standards for quality and thoroughness.
• Superior communication skills and an excellent command of the English language.
• The ability to work with a team under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
• The ability to work independently without needing day-to-day supervision as part of a global research team.
• A bachelor’s degree is essential; a master’s is a plus. A concentration in marketing, business, or economics is preferred.
