    About The Role:

    The Product and Pricing Administrator manages the product configuration and pricing data in the configure, price, and quote (CPQ) system, which is used by the global Forrester sales force to generate quotes for the clients. The Product and Pricing Administrator is responsible for: 1) maintaining the product configuration and pricing data in the CPQ system; 2) engaging proactively with the sales organization to ensure they understand how to configure, price, and leverage products in the CPQ system; and 3) providing the VP of pricing with analysis, reporting, and business process expertise and support. This person must be flexible and must have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders’ expectations.


    Product and Pricing Administrator for the CPQ system

    Be the subject matter expert, technical liaison, and business owner of the configure and price functionalities of the configure, quote, and price (CPQ) system in salesforce.com, in collaboration with the pricing team, the Forrester technology management team, and the larger Forrester organization.

    • Own the process to configure and automate products and prices in the CPQ tool within salesforce.com.
    • Maintain product and pricing configuration, including product hierarchy, product attributes and options, price lists, and business rules in the CPQ tool.
    • Identify and resolve issues related to product and pricing configuration and master data.
    • Manage product and pricing release cycles, including gathering requirements from the VP of pricing, product managers, and finance team.
    • Implement product and price changes in the master data within the development, test, and production environments.
    • Perform end-to-end user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage it with the relevant business owners for all product and pricing changes in Salesforce.
    • Collaborate with the Forrester technology management team on any product attribute and/or price changes in Salesforce that need to flow to other back-office systems and/or to the web and require technical support or development from the Forrester technology management team.
    • Engage in large-scale cross-functional Forrester initiatives where CPQ expertise is needed.
    • Review all new releases of the CPQ system for potential impact on products and pricing functionalities. Collaborate with the Forrester technology management team and the VP of pricing to define whether/when to adopt new CPQ releases that impact product and pricing functionalities.
    • Report any CPQ technical issues to the VP of pricing. Triage and address or escalate issues to the CPQ support team and/or to the Forrester technology management team as needed. Collaborate with the said teams to get the issues resolved in a timely manner.
    • Support the Forrester help desk on technical questions on the CPQ system.

    Point of contact for product and pricing administration

    • Provide the VP of pricing and the financial planning and analysis (FP&A), accounting, and sales teams answers regarding product and pricing administration.
    • Prepare and distribute reports on price performance of each product line in each major market.


    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • Two to five years of professional experience.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • The ability to drive system and process improvements in pricing and reporting through: 1) significant experience with salesforce.com and CPQ applications; 2) significant experience with database reporting tools; and 3) exceptional skills in using Excel.
    • Analytical interpretation and reporting capabilities, with a problem-solving orientation.
    • The ability to manage multiple deadline assignments with multiple individuals representing a broad range of personalities.
    • The ability to build and maintain personal rapport with senior-level employees.
    • Organizational skills and high attention to detail.
    • Someone who is proactive, professional, creative, and dynamic.
    • Experience with saleforce.com is required; experience with CPQ tools (Salesforce, APTTUS, etc.) is preferred.
    • com certification is a plus.
