About This Role:

As part of Forrester’s continued success and growth, we are looking for an assertive Business Development Representative to fuel further expansion in one of our fastest-growing segments. This role is part of the government new business sales team and entails working in a high-volume social selling, telephone, and email contact environment. You will work with Account Executives to identify opportunities within assigned territories and within a tightly defined sales process to ensure a consistent, unified approach to selling Forrester services and promoting customer satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Achieve weekly meeting-setting metrics.
  • Support Account Executives who sell new client business to C-level US government leaders, including the program leaders, marketing leaders, CIOs, and other technology decision-makers.
  • Understand the goals, objectives, and services of a targeted set of US government agencies and the specific management titles and organizational structures of those organizations.
  • Perform name and organizational development at named accounts.
  • Engage prospects via phone, email, and social media to outline Forrester’s unique value proposition. Create sufficient interest to secure an introductory meeting with a Forrester Account Executive.
  • Identify a prospect’s personal business issues and how to articulate Forrester’s relevant value proposition.
  • Understand the changing business and technology issues facing our clients and prospects.

 

Job Requirements:

  • A BS or BA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Success in direct sales/client management or consultative selling. Government-facing experience is a plus.
  • Effective organization and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and creativity.
  • Perseverance and initiative to work as part of a team.
