About This Role:

The Principal Analyst for the marketing operations strategy advisory service helps B2B marketing leaders operationalize their end-to-end revenue engine. We are looking for a creative problem solver with deep expertise in aligning marketing operations with other operational functions in the revenue engine (revenue operations, sales operations, customer success operations, and channel operations).

 

The ideal candidate is someone who has the ability to discover best practices and trends, innovate, and evangelize concepts regarding how to drive operational efficiencies within marketing and among marketing’s stakeholders. This individual must have a strategic mindset and bold ideas and must be collaborative and willing to challenge those ideas with data and research. We are especially looking for a candidate who understands and has experience in leveraging B2B marketing technologies as a competitive differentiator for organizations.

 

The Principal Analyst must be able to coach and guide clients on how to build roadmaps and plans and put them into action to reach company objectives and drive profitable growth. The candidate must have exceptional writing, research, presentation development, analytical, and speaking skills.

 

Job Description:

  • Research generation: Participates in conceptualizing and writing key research deliverables, including research reports, webcasts and event presentations, case studies, tools and templates, and foundational models and frameworks. Establishes a thought leadership presence through blogs and social media writing.
  • Data gathering, management, and analysis: Works with various B2B organizations and the Forrester research team to gather key benchmark data and analyzes study results to understand and report on marketing operations trends.
  • Client support: Interacts directly with clients (telephone or in-person) to review research findings and discuss and provide prescriptive recommendations to solve operational problems/issues leveraging Forrester models, frameworks, benchmark insights, and other applicable research innovation. Reviews and gives input on client work products, such as process models, planning documents, dashboards, technology assessments, organizational design models, and presentations.
  • Presentation delivery: Speaks in keynote and track sessions for annual marquee events, webcasts, roadshows, forums, and roundtables. Drives interactive engagement with attendees during such events.
  • Sales support: Works with our sales teams to grow the marketing operations strategy service through sales and marketing activities and prospect interactions.
  • Consulting: Assists on ad hoc consulting and advisory projects as needed.

 

Job Requirements:

  • A completed bachelor’s degree; MBA is preferred.
  • Fifteen-plus years of B2B strategic marketing leadership experience focusing on marketing operations and revenue operations.
  • Elaborate writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Customer-facing skills (someone who is a strong presenter and comfortable with executive-level audience and can identify issues/needs through effective inquiry).
  • Excellence in facilitating workshops with senior business executives and their extended teams.
  • Proven positive impact from past experience.
