About This Role:

We are looking for someone to join a tight-knit, fast-paced, and growing team to help us speed up operations, improve efficiencies, support our partners across the Forrester ecosystem in our mission as a customer-obsessed organization, and propel us to the next level as Forrester enters a new phase of growth. The Finance Project Accountant supports multiple teams within finance and other teams in cross-functional projects. The successful candidate’s contribution will be critical to our success as a finance team. This individual is expected to help in a variety of capacities and use skills and intellect to discover ways to improve our processes and implement those improvements.


Job Description:

  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), primarily for the revenue operations team, but also GL and AP teams as needed. Systems include Salesforce CRM, PeopleSoft Financials, ONESOURCE Indirect Tax, and Concur.
  • Identify and resolve monthly revenue fulfillment discrepancies between Salesforce and PeopleSoft.
  • Assist with ad hoc revenue analysis and reconciliation items on occasion.
  • Assist with audit support on occasion.
  • Perform data analysis to assist with the annual standalone selling price study.
  • Perform finance review of new product attributes that drive revenue recognition.
  • Assist in driving process improvements, project management, and overall execution of projects within finance.


Job Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
  • Two to five years of accounting/finance ops experience, with a focus in revenue, is preferred.
  • Experience in conducting UAT and documenting requirements.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Software/technology industry background is preferred but not necessary.
  • Understanding of financial accounting reporting systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
