About This Role:

Forrester’s Corporate Counsel will be an integral part of our small, collegial legal team.

Job Description:

  • Support Forrester’s worldwide sales organization in all facets of the client contracting process.
  • Assist the internal Forrester business organization with vendor contracting.
  • Provide legal advice and support across various areas, including product development, event sponsorships, speaker agreements, NDAs, data privacy, intellectual property (including trademarks and copyrights), government contracts, client questionnaires, partner agreements, drafting and updating of corporate policies, and development of template agreements.
  • Work closely with sales, finance, marketing, security, events, products, consulting, and employee experience.

Job Requirements:

  • A JD and bar membership plus a strong academic background; having an MA is preferable.
  • Two to five years’ relevant in-house and/or law firm experience.
  • Success in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with clients and vendors, with an emphasis on licensing and intellectual property protection.
  • The ability to grasp legal and business issues and provide practical, constructive legal advice in a business environment, including risk analysis.
  • Strong organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
  • The ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously within a tight schedule.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of RFPs and government contracting, privacy and data protection laws, physical goods contracts, SaaS contracts, and copyright/trademark protection.
