About this Role:

The Consultant primarily works with internal and client teams to deliver consulting engagements for digital business and customer experience clients. This role 1) leads workstreams and/or contributes to producing high-quality client project deliverables such as user experience benchmarking, expert heuristic reviews, usability testing, user experience strategy, digital and CX strategies and roadmaps; 2) helps develop repeatable consulting methods and tools; and 3) supports internal initiatives aimed at building Forrester’s consulting capabilities and overall business.


Our ideal candidate has strong core management consulting skills and domain experience in user experience, usability testing, and user experience strategy. Success in this position requires understanding the impact of digital technology on customers and business strategy and then applying that understanding in addressing and resolving client challenges to help them thrive and lead their industries.

Job Description:

  • Lead and support delivery of consulting projects, including interviewing senior-level client stakeholders, analyzing client and industry data, and applying Forrester frameworks and methods to synthesize insights and develop results for clients.
  • Develop high-quality, well-structured, and user-friendly PowerPoint and Excel client deliverables.
  • Assist with business development and marketing efforts to build the digital business practice domain.
  • Manage client and internal projects and workstreams.
  • Achieve personal performance targets.
  • Apply and advance the team’s user experience content expertise by:
    • Conducting expert heuristic reviews and usability studies to support client engagements.
    • Working with our team of UX analysts to identify opportunities for new research streams based on feedback from clients and trends in our engagements with digital business clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Three to five years’ management consulting and industry practitioner experience; deep exposure to digital strategy, eBusiness/channel strategy, and user experience practices and principles.
  • Success in engaging with senior-level business executives and subject matter experts with deep content knowledge.
  • Formal project management experience or training; the ability to manage and prioritize tasks.
  • Appreciation for the form factor of deliverables; history of preparing deliverable for clients, owning and delivering the finished product, and creating client-facing deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Innate intellectual curiosity as well as strong attention to detail and analysis.
  • Sense of individual responsibility and collaboration under pressure.
  • The ability to travel on average 10 days per month when travel resumes.
