About This Role:

This is an exciting time to join Forrester’s business intelligence team, as Forrester is expanding the use and usability of its BI platforms. This position will be a critical component of that expansion as you will work with corporate business and technology leaders to design and deliver the next-generation enterprise data warehouse infrastructure to help support corporate reporting initiatives and drive business insights. Being a BI Developer requires an understanding of business intelligence tools, techniques, and best practices as well as a fundamental understanding of the subscription-based business model. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and possesses a passion for leveraging data to deliver business value and drive efficiencies, an affinity for technology, and a creative approach to problem solving. This role requires deep experience in data warehouse tools, technologies, and architecture and knowledge of trends in data delivery and information management.

Job Description:

• Manage and scale Forrester’s data warehouse infrastructure to help support corporate reporting, business intelligence, and customer analytics initiatives.
• Partner with business representatives, business analysts, developers, and DBAs to deliver comprehensive business-facing BI solutions.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of all data in the data warehouse.
• Design, implement, and deploy ETL processes for Salesforce.com and other databases.
• Assist with the configuration and administration of the ETL and Tableau infrastructure.
• Manage existing data models (relational and dimensional) to support business initiatives.
• Assist in performance-tuning to achieve optimal performance.
• Support an ecosystem of continuous delivery pipeline tooling through integration and automation.
• Stay abreast of industry trends surrounding business intelligence.

Job Requirements:

• A BS/MS degree in computer-related studies or comparable work experience.
• Three-plus years of experience in working with business stakeholders in requirements gathering and creating architectural designs.
• Three-plus years of experience in data warehouse design and development.
• Three-plus years of experience with any ETL tools.
• Three-plus years of experience in writing procedures, views, materialized views, and complex SQL queries using any relational database.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling techniques.
• Experience with columnar data stores, such as Cassandra, HBase, Amazon Redshift, or Dynamo DB is a plus.
• Experience with Big Data technologies, such as Apache Spark with PySpark, is a plus.
