About This Role: 

Forrester’s Account Manager III is part of our Core sales organization and works with established and up-and-coming B2B high-tech clients. Account managers in Core are composed of accountable, collaborative, empathetic, and curious individuals who continuously challenge themselves to grow and improve. Success in this role entails working as a trusted adviser to marketing, sales, product, customer experience, and technology leaders as well as establishing long-term relationships to advance those leaders along their key business priorities.


Job Description:

  • Empathize. Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders at B2B technology industry clients; develop and manage long-term relationships that enable renewal retention and new business growth.
  • Stay curious. Gain client trust through continuous observation and learning to understand organizational objectives and challenges.
  • Cultivate a growth mindset. Pursue business development opportunities with prospective buyers within a territory of existing clients.
  • Collaborate. Partner with your peers, Forrester’s customer success, product, and consulting teams to share best practices and identify opportunities for growth and deliver value against client outcomes.
  • Be accountable to your success. Achieve annual, quarterly, and monthly contract value, business development, enrichment, and renewal targets.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of four years of sales experience; a proven track record in account management or sales roles with closing experience.
  • Success in selling or pitching multiple intangible products, ideas, and solutions (e.g., consulting and research) to Fortune 500 companies.
  • Experience with procurement and management of complex buying processes to guide and advise clients.
  • Effective organization, meeting facilitation, and time management skills.
  • A results-oriented, open minded, client-focused, curious individual with growth mindset.
