About This Role:

Forrester’s Consultant primarily works with internal and client teams to deliver consulting engagements for marketing and business technology strategy clients. This individual: 1) leads workstreams and/or contributes to producing high-quality client project deliverables, such as technology/business strategy, maturity assessments, industry analyses, e-commerce plans, process improvements, development efforts, and transformation programs; 2) helps develop repeatable consulting methods and tools; and 3) supports internal initiatives aimed at building Forrester’s consulting capabilities and overall business.

This client-facing consulting role entails a high level of individual responsibility and contribution. Success in this position requires developed strong core management consulting skills as well as domain experience in marketing strategy, business technology, process improvement, innovation, e-commerce, digital experience, and/or digital marketing to understand technology’s impact on customers and business strategy and apply that understanding to help our clients address the challenges they face to thrive and lead their industries. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, strong team player with superior written and verbal communication skills, innate intellectual curiosity, deep analytical capabilities, and solid project management skills.

Job Description:

• Lead and help with delivery of consulting projects, including interviewing senior-level client stakeholders, analyzing client and industry data, and applying Forrester frameworks and methods to synthesize insights and develop results for clients.
• Develop high-quality, well-structured, and user-friendly PowerPoint and Excel client deliverables.
• Support business development and marketing efforts to build the digital business practice domain.
• Manage client and internal projects and workstreams.
• Achieve personal performance targets.
• Identify opportunities for new research streams based on feedback from clients and trends in our engagements with digital business clients.

Job Requirements:

• Three to five years’ management consulting and industry practitioner experience; deep exposure to digital strategy, CX strategy, eBusiness/channel strategy, and business technology practices and principles.
• Formal project management experience or training.
• Experience and acumen in engaging with senior-level business executives.
• History of working with subject matter experts (SMEs) with deep content knowledge.
• Effective collaboration with others under pressure.
• Success in preparing deliverable for clients, owning and delivering the finished product, and creating client-facing deliverables.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Excellent verbal, writing, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Appreciation for the form factor of deliverables.
• The ability to travel 10 days on average per month.
